| First up,
if it is against the law, no matter how stupid it seems, don't do it.
Go to a place where things are cool, like Nepal, Amsterdam, Ghana, or wherever
else the drug routes meet. Remember, they have the death penalty for illegal
drug usage and trafficking in places like Thailand and Malaysia and they
don't flinch at executing Westerners. Check the local laws before you travel
to some seemingly cool destination. Getting bummed out in our own
society with a police record early in life kind of takes the shine off
things too, and it is easily avoided by (a) not being stupid and
using banned substances in areas where drugs are illegal, and (b) using
substances which are not illegal and which occur naturally, such as some
of the ones mentioned in this site. ALWAYS BE INFORMED ABOUT WHAT
YOU USE. KNOW YOUR ANTIDOTES. |
Secondly, if
you are going to do it no matter what, make sure you know what you are
buying, where your nearest cool friend is, and how to get to a hospital
if you have to. Remember most hospitals really hate having to deal with
overdose victims, and unless you are dying don't expect much except a stomach
pump and very little else. If you are bummed out on bad hallucinogens expect
a head full of one of the antipsychotics and a few really crappy days after
it while recovering. Antipsychotics are NOT fun drugs, even for those
who need them for symptoms of psychotic illness. Always ask for Cogentin
or Artane to get rid of the muscle spasms if you are given a haloperidol
injection to bring you down. Often they forget to give it to
you in the rush that is a major hospital, and sometimes they feel they
have some moral duty to punish you by letting you have the side effects. |
